House of Rhythm was first started in the 1980’s, by Rhythm Doctor, Myself (DJ Raw) & Micky. With guests including, Mr C, Harvey, Kid Batchelor, Evil O, Terry Hunter, amongst others & Vocals from E-Mix.
The night was restarted 8 years ago by DJ Raw & has seen some great nights, much love & respect to all of you that have supported us over the years as we would not be here without you! Also thanks & so much love & respect out to, Mulatto on percussion (my bro & father), Joel my bro, Bones, Easy E, Deanjay, Lady T, Danny P, Jimi Mistri, Vanessa Freeman, Renn Washington, Drew Salida, Jacqui Bennett, Micky Boyle, Ken Charles, all my beautiful friends & family for all your musical love support!
House of Rhythm was restarted, because we wanted to create a place where we could play House music & party with beautiful friends & family with a live element percussion (played by Drums of Freedom now Mulatto). We also used various singers (Vanessa Freeman, E-Mix, Renn Washington) & a flute player (Drew Salida), which added to the vibe of the night! The night started off in a few little venues around London going from strength to strength & gaining a loyal following, then together with a friend that was also promoting we found the Yacht Club. The Yacht club was a boat moored on the Thames & was an amazing setting for our nights, we had 3 rooms & some amazing nights for 2 years. Since then we have been in many venues around London, we are currently looking for a new home. So when we find our new home come down & check us out, for a night of Deep, Soulful, Latin, House music played with passion & Knowledge!
